Douglas Steers & Company are Fundraising for Dementia UK

We are pleased to announce that Dementia UK has been selected as Douglas Steers & Company’s chosen charity for 2026/2027.

Over the coming year, our team will be taking part in a variety of fundraising activities and challenges to raise money and awareness in support of the charity and the families it helps.

Dementia is a cause that has personal significance for a number of people within our team, with many of us having seen the impact it can have on individuals and their families. When considering a charity that we could support together as a company, Dementia UK was therefore a cause that particularly resonated with us.

About Dementia UK

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity. Its Admiral Nurses provide specialist advice and support to families affected by all forms of dementia, helping them to navigate the challenges that can arise before, during and after a diagnosis.

Through its helpline, clinics and specialist nursing services, the charity works to ensure that families facing dementia do not have to do so alone.

We are proud to be supporting this important work and look forward to bringing our team together to raise as much as we can over the coming months.

Our fundraising plans

We already have a growing list of fundraising ideas, with activities planned to give everyone across Douglas Steers & Company an opportunity to get involved.

Some of the challenges and events currently being considered include a quiz, the National Three Peaks Challenge, half marathons and marathons, alongside office-based fundraising such as a bake-off and tuck shop.

There is plenty still to be confirmed, and we expect a few more ideas to be added to the list along the way.

As each challenge and event takes shape, we will be sharing updates from the team, including our preparations, progress and fundraising milestones.
